Conversion Routines
THIS INFO IS FOR THE DOS PROGRAMS ONLY. These notes are intended to help you make the conversions from the DOS data format to the WINDOWS Data format. The program link below will download a zip file. BEFORE STARTING THE DOWNLOAD, have a BLANK floppy disk in the A: drive. It will extract the files to that. Take that floppy to one of your dos computers and copy the files to your M: drive. Then do the 1 2 3 etc. described below.
At the M: Drive AFTER you have copied the disk - see above - you will do the following.
1 and enter -> creates CSDUMP.DAT (customer main data file)
2 and enter - creates DETDUMP.DAT (customer payment file)
3 -> COMDUMP.DAT (customer comment file)
4 -> STOCKDMP.DAT (inventory sku data)
5 -> TRANSDMP.DAT (inventory transactions)
6 -> INVDUMP.DAT (inventory invoices)
7 -> MAILDMP.DAT (Mailing Lists - do once for each list 1-5 - move that list to new computer and convert - then 7 again for the next list etc.)
After you have done the ones you need to (if you are not using the inventory or the mailing lists - don't do those), then move over the file names in RED to the new computer's M:Drive for PLH programs and do the conversion under Main Menu - Utilities - Convert Dos Data
